Yes — plan management and support coordination are two different things. Your plan manager handles the financial administration of your plan. Your support coordinator helps you implement your plan and navigate the NDIS system. Both can be funded simultaneously from separate support categories in your plan.
Support coordination is funded from your Capacity Building budget under the Support Coordination support category. The NDIS sets price limits for support coordination under the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. There is no out-of-pocket cost as long as you have sufficient funding in that category.
Specialist Support Coordination is for participants with very complex or high-risk situations who need a higher level of skill and expertise to manage their supports.
